There have already been some threads on Grey''s anatomy, and on how many people love this show. Here in Belgium, it is also on the air since last year, and I am watching this regularly.

Last week, a friend of ours gave us the first season on DVD, and we have been watching this with a lot of interest.

And while watching this, I suddenly noticed that I started looking in a totally different way. No longer was I interested in the intrigues, the romance, and so on. Now, I was watching how the hospital organised their training and how the various cases (patients) were treated. Especially the decision-process was intriguing me. And I realised that there was a similarity with the way that we handle rough diamonds, and their cutting.

So, now I am a professional addict of the show, and I desperately need to get hold of the other seasons on DVD.

Live long,

That''s funny! Just be careful not to confuse the way they run their hospital with the reality of hospital life... 95% of those doctors would have been fired (and some taken to court) long ago!

However, I too am addicted to the show... looove it!

Well, I would not want to run our business that way.

But it is nice to see patients (rough diamonds) coming in, some sort of triage, first checks (weight, shape, diameters, colour, inclusions, fluorescence, tension, ...) and then decisions upon what to do, which specialist to call in, which standard procedures to start, and so on.

And all this under time pressure (time is money, especially when dealing with diamonds), and with the pressure of somebody missing some obvious symptom might cause a major loss.

Live long,

It is a great show. I could do without some of the drama and sleeping around too

- the only thing I''m peeved about is that they''ve seemed to go on hiatus for weeks!!!

ditto, and I think I saw a preview for some other show during their timeslot tonight. I couldn''t tell for sure b/c I was at the gym and saw it on the t.v but it looked like 10e/9c. I was hoping a new episode would be on this thursday...

MrsS I saw last night that the commercials for this week''s Grey''s were ''highlight reels'' - it seems they are doing a season recap like Desperate Housewives did last week (irritating). The only thing they were toting was a new ''Grey''s music video'' ??? at the end of the episode. Weird.

oh ok, we''ll at least they aren''t disrupting for a totally new show like ABC did with Alias all the time. I did read on the website that Denny is coming back to narrate..

I wonder why they do that? Don''t like it. They put Men in Trees on hiatus to put on the new show October Road (which I tried to watch but it was too boring for me). Any way in which Denny is back is good news to me!!
