Learning a lot here. Are there any vendors here that offer discounts as I'm close to another purchase for my wife.

Also, should go with an AGS or GIA?

And what size round is good for a pendant? Would .4-.5 be too small? does .6-.7 look a lot bigger on the neck vs. a half ct.?

I value your thoughts and they are welcomed.

Thanks much

Don't worry about the discount issue. Ask all of them if they offer one, but the prices balance out regardless of whether they offer an extra discount or not.

I'd recommend checking WhiteFlash, Brian Gavin, and Good Old Gold because they have stones in-house and they specialize in top cut quality. I've had great experiences with all three of them.

Go with GIA Excellent Cut or AGS Ideal cut. GIA excellent is a broader category, though, so there will be some stones that are better than others. But the above seller specialize in well cut stones, so it doesn't matter if the report is GIA or AGS. Just be sure you are looking at their stones and not virtual listings.

I think a half carat is very nice for a pendant and you can increase the appearance of the size by setting it in a bezel setting if you want. But certainly, a .6 or higher is quite nice as well if it fits into your budget! The above vendors all have great upgrade policies in the event that you ever did decide to go larger, though.

Thanks, I should have included my budget of 1,500 to 2,000
