I finally ordered my stone from Engegementringsdirect.com

What do you think of the specs? The stone has excellent light performance, but quite a few tiny black inclusions. I really wanted to get an E color stone with $12k budget, so had to compromise a little on clarity.
Thank you all for your help!! This forum is a "gold mine!"

Personally? I would never buy a stone wtih visible inclusions for myself or for anyone else. You can find MANY eyeclean SI1's and the black inclusions would bug the living heck out of me. When people look at it, they aren't seeing the "E" color... they see black dots. They think it's a poor quality stone. You could explain till your blue about AGS light performance and E color... but all they would see, and remember was a lot of noice, and black dots.

I personally would MUCH rather have an F or G and have the stone be eyeclean. If you were my fiance. I would be dissapointed. Sorry, but that's the truth.

The stone is totally eye clean. I forgot to mention that I spent ~2 months on this forum, and shopping around, and understand very well what eye clean SI stones are all about

All inclusions are on the side, and are very minor. I am just slightly concerned about the measurements:
7.34 - 7.41 * 4.50 mm

Oh so the face up is totally clean? Completely? Cause your comments about little black inclusions was misleading. The spread isn''t something I can comment on, Sorry.

Yes, the face up is totally clean, but the inclusions can be easily seen with 10x magnification.

Whew that''s great then. Good deal. : )

Sounds like a lovely stone to me. Your fiance is lucky to be getting a 1.51ct stone. That is a very substantial size! A 1.51ct, E color, Excellent cut e-ring should knock her socks off! Please post some pictures when you get it set! (the diameter seems good to me)

Thank you all! She is getting Tacori setting btw (see pic below). I will post pics of the real thing about 4-5 weeks from now.

Ooooooooooooooh I ADORE THAT SETTING.

Please post a ton of pics! I''ve been DYING to see that sucker on someone''s hand IRL on PS. I''ve seen it in stores...but never tried it on. Can''t wait to see the completed ring. Stunning choice. It''s my favorite Tacori setting by far!

Zenit: E eye-clean SI1 is a very good compromise within your budget.
The measurement (diameter/spread and dev) of this diamond looks fine.
If you would I think an independent appraisal is worth the extra $$.
Congrats!
