Bought my wedding dress today:

THEdress.jpg

Now I need to find shoes. The dress won't come in until March so I have loads of time but I still wanna keep an eye out ASAP for something that will work. I LOVE seeing pics of brides who wore brightly coloured shoes and its totally my style to do so, but I don't think it could work with a short dress. Should I go light gold? Nude?

Also, to accessorize the dress I was thinking a sparkly brooch on the sash, some dangly earrings and maybe a sparkly bracelet.
Then depending on what hair style I choose, either a birdcage veil or more likely a sparkly barette with or without some lace/mesh/beading. Does this sound appropriate?

Any other ideas appreciated! TIA!

What is your price range for shoes and how tall would you want the heels to be? Also what is the color of your dress called it looks like a warm silver on my screen?

Lovely dress! Depending on whether or not the color is as pewter-like as the picture shows, I saw some jewelry on Amazon today that might work well with the color of your dress.

This "Snow Bunny" group also has rings and other pieces available - maybe one could be turned into a brooch for the sash. 8) Alternatively, you could add a pop of color to your outfit with brightly colored jewelry or go for jewelry with black stones for a totally different look.

Considering the dress was only $225 and I hardly wear heels  I guess I'd liek to spend $100 or under. But up to $200 would be okay too. The colour is called Latte. Its a taupey light golden colour. Its Belsoie Jasmine dress 3066.

Interesting how the dress seems to show up on other people's screens as silvery! Its actually closer to a light gold. Maybe a cross between biege and gold. I like the dangly earrings but no so much the other pieces, though I'll take a look at the rest of their collection. I was thinking of going sans necklace to keep a clean neckline and also because I plan on wearing blingy dangly earrings. Also, I don't want ot spend that much on jewellery I'm not likely to wear very often...the dress only cost $225 + tax so I'd rather that each piece of jewllery be $100 or under. Thanks!

sirbenson, have you chosen a venue yet? That will probably guide a lot of your decisions: especially footwear!

It looks pale gold to me, and very glam!

i think you could totally rock the colored shoes with that dress - elrowhen wore a short dress and colored shoes - go look for her thread....she looked awesome!

I think some blinby baubles and the right shoes will help glam it up even more!

Oh, I think you SHOULD do colored shoes! That said, these only come in ivory, but I think the little half bow would be cute with the bow on your dress http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=585

As for jewelery, you have to comb through their site, but http://www.futurecollection.com/ has a lot of good stuff. You just have to look!

I like these http://www.futurecollection.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=2379
I have this bracelet at home http://www.futurecollection.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=2264

Those shoes are cute but I would never be able to walk in that type of heel :((

I love those earrings! The perfect chandelier earring!

I think that because the dress is a light gold that the jewellery should have light gold metal in it instead of silver or platinum coloured. What I mean is, the "metal" that holds the "stones" should be goldish? Or does it really matter?
