after reading about all the opinions about IGI certified stones on this forum I got nervous and started wondering about my diamond purchase.
I called IGI in los angeles for more information on my diamond,they were extremely helpful and provided me with additional information.
My diamond was submitted to IGI in India by a company calld Rosey Blue and sent to New york for gradeing.
IGI provided me with the crown angle 33.8 deg and pavillion angle 40.7 deg which are not listed on my cert.
So now I have the full info on my diamond I think (they will send me actual photo's of the hearts and arrows for a small fee)
dimensions 6.58-6.60x4.00
RB 1,05ct
vs2
G color
depth 60.7%
table 56%
crown height 14.5%
crown angle 33.8 deg
pavillion depth 43%
pavillion angle 40.7 deg
culet none
girdle medium
fl. none
Stone still scores a .7 TIG but now it is in the AGSO box,ex,ex,ex,vg.
Can I quit worrying? Is this a good stone? other than possible overrating of color(this seems to be the rap on IGI) would it not still be a good diamond if it was H color?
I need some sleep!
