Hello.

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger here. Before I do tho I wanna make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Below are my quotes for the centre stone only.

The first diamond GIA Round Brilliant, 1.27 Carat, H Color, SI2 Clarity with Excellent Cut, Polish & Symmetry Cost $ 8,155.92
The second diamond GIA Round Brilliant, 1.35 Carat, G Color, SI2 Clarity with Excellent Cut, Polish & Symmetry Cost $ 10,768.92
The third diamond GIA Round Brilliant, 1.50 Carat, H Color, SI2 Clarity with Excellent Cut, Polish & Symmetry Cost $ 11,492.96
The fourth diamond GIA Round Brilliant, 1.50 Carat, G Color, SI2 Clarity with Excellent Cut, Polish & Symmetry Cost $ 12,349.23

They're all reported as eye clean but I have not seen them personally. I have all of the certificates. Are these prices competitive? (These are In Canadian dollars)
Would u purchase one of these for an e-ring. Why or why not?

Thanks for ur help.

Well, as of now the answer would be No because we dont have enough info. Can you provide links to the stones so we can
look at their grading reports?

First all are slightly off for ideal cut stones. Did you run the stats through the HCA tool above. also I am so unclear that they are eye clean The first one is all over the place and the last has a circle of inclusions around the inside circle the third has inclusions in the rim of the table not sure I would select any of them.

sorry here is a Jamesallen hearts and arris 355319 1.54 H color s1 clairyt 12,500 you should look at sorry I cant' get the link to copy on my ipad so look up stone 355319

Keep in mind I don't know much about diamonds.

So the noted inclusions on the certificates indicate I will see these markings on the stone? So none of these diamonds are eye clean?

Well, that really depends on YOUR definition of eye clean and the vendors definition. The stones could be eye clean at arms length or the could be eye clean from 6 inches. It may be clean from the side view or not. It's important to discuss your expectations with the vendor to avoid any surprises.

Thanks for the replys so far.

Some more background info. I saw a clarity enhanced 1.51 stone and almost bought it but reconsidered after reading about ce's. Would it be safe to say these would be nicer then the ce?

That depends on how you feel about CE stones and the particular CE stones you are comparing these stones to. There are a couple different methods of enhancement, fracture filling and laser. If I remember correctly labs like GIA will grade a stone that has laser treatment because it's considered permanent whereas fracture filling is not. I don't know enough about CE stones to really comment, but I would caution you to do a lot of research before hand. I think its really a matter of opinion but I would not purchase a CE stone.

Here are just a couple threads I found for you..

I looked at all the certs and didnt like any of them. They are either shallow crowns, too deep or steep pavilions. Not
great stones.

What is your budget? Maybe we can help you find something.

thanks for the reply. i reviewed those links but those are out of my budget. For the centre stone I'd like to stay with $11000(canadian) with very minimal wiggle room. Price wise I would be willing to purchase the cheaper 1.5ct i mentioned which was
$ 11,492.96.

After reviewing the certification is $ 11,492.96(canadian) a fair price for the stone?

Could I find a better diamond at this amount while still staying at 1.5ct - $ 11,492.96?
