Good estate jewelers with an online presence?

I know there used to be at least one thread with a list of websites of people selling good estate jewelry, but I can't get the PS2 search function to find it (or them). Anyway, does anyone have websites of jewelers that they would recommend?

Dover Jewelry is my favorite, and ebay's SFLmaven.

M.S. Rau has beautiful pieces. Fun to look at but you won't find any bargains!

ETA: A La Vielle Russie also has interesting things.

Wow, thanks for all the recommendations. Somehow I don't think my wallet is going to thank me. ;))

HI:

First Dibs.

cheers--Sharon

Thanks, Canuk!

Debby, thanks so much for this list.

I've also bought from Belladora and the sister site- Belladora II. They both have an online presence. The bracelet I bought was beautiful and exactly as described.

A good reputation for having authentic Faberge pieces (I think Rau does too). I'd love to have a nice Faberge cane. I think there are some pristine examples for around $40,000. (Sigh.)

The last time I visited Bill Pearlman's website he had a notice on it saying that he bought gold, watches, jewelry, etcetera. That would make me think that he also must sell it. In fact, I think I have seen a part of his website dedicated to estate pieces, although I might be mistaken. He is a Pricescope advertizer, too. (I have done business with him for years. Mainly as a Gurhan vendor. I can definitely recommend him.)

Some companies that are estate jewelry buyers always have unique items for sale.

For example http://estatejewelrynyc.com recently had a gold chain from a 400 year old ship wreck.

The only way you can find out items they have for sale is by contacting them directly because they dont always list them online.

This could be a good thing as you have less competitors.

Another site to drool over gorgeous Russian jewelry: romanovrussia.com
