Good diamond deals in Chicago

Anyone know of any places in Chicago where I can look for deals on diamonds? I keep hearing all this talk about how individuals are selling their lesser used diamonds because of the poor economy but I have yet to come across anything I would describe as a great deal. I''ve been looking online, more specifically whiteflash and bluenile and along with the amazing and patient posters on this board have found diamonds that fit my constraints, but I wouldn''t call the diamonds amazing deals. I''ve tried a couple pawn shops but the diamonds were in the 0.5 ct or less range. I''m looking for a round diamond in the 1.70-1.90 ct range.

Anyone have suggestions?

I''m not sure that I''m allowed to post the link but you can do a search for diamond under the jewelry category and you should be able to find it..
seems like a good deal but you always gotta be cautious about these kinds of things..

although not in the chicago area Pearlman''s (a PS vendor) sells previously owned jewelry at decent prices.. other than that I dunno what to tell you but good luck!

You may very well get lucky online, but in case you''re also open to buying from a store I''d suggest dimend SCAASI. They''re listed as a recommend vendor here, too. I''ve been working on a ring with them and have so far been very pleased with their service and prices.

We got my diamond from Diamonds Chicago on Jewelers Row and had a very positive experience with Carlee there. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!
