Golden south sea shell pearls

Just arrived today are my Golden South Sea Shell pearls from Youpearl.com. Beautifully engineered to re-create the growth cycle of oyster grown pearls. These are champagne coloured, but they also do a deep golden pearl with a very high luster. They have a good weight to them so drape beautifully & the price is incredible
Just off to get the earrings to match

i saw the earings
could not beleave the price !

Don't know who's currency it is in but regardless the prices are definatly worth a gamble (i looked at the strawberry quartz)

what exactly is a shell pearl ?

A shell pearl starts off as a tiny bead & it gets dipped in a mixture of ground up pearls & mother of pearl mixed in clear rezin. It is repeatedly dipped until the required size has been reached. So it is layers of ground up pearl & mother of pearl
