By description, this stone has everything I think I want... including the fluor.

Just got the cert on it, and it only scores a 2.8 HCA. The plot looks spotless (but it's a scan, so maybe there's a hard-to-see speck LOL). What specifically should I look for when I see it-- in other words, which aspects make it score >2 on the HCA and will this make a difference when I see it?

Also, what are your thoughts about the price? Thanks!

Hi bluedawg,

The reason this stone gets over a 2 is because of hte 41.1 degree pavilion angles which causes light leakage under the table which you can observe in the attached graphic (indicated by white under the table). White is indicative of facets that are functioning as *windows* as opposed to *mirrors* and when they are functioning in this role it is possible to see *through* these windows to the object behind the diamond which is basically not the desired result. However with the pavilion angle being so close to the edge it may not be an obvious difference. If you were able to compare it with another that had angles more around the 40.7-40.8 zone for a comparison that would be good if possible.

Rhino,

Thanks for taking the time to show that to me. Very, very informative. I really appreciate it.

Nice pug. I've been meaning to say so.
