Hi Everyone,
The nurses from my floor are completely stumped.
We have a wonderful, beautiful girl named Nathalie, that has been with us for 3 years. She came here from Australia as part of an adventure (for love!) when she was 23 years old. The relationship did not work out, and although she tried for 1 year to stay here because she really LOVED her work, she recently decided that work was incredible but it was not enough to keep her here. We are a very close knit unit. Our unit is heartbroken that she is leaving us, because it's a terrible loss. We are planning a big goodbye dinner for her, but would like to offer her a present. I would also like to offer her present just from myself. I don't know her beyond work (as we've never socialized outside of work) but we are truly friends. Every night I would come in to see a sick patient, I'd stay and extra hour to chat with her about boys, her life, and her friends. I spoke to her yesterday, trying to get a feel for Australian fashion, name brands (to see what was popular there), and it doesn't appear that it's the same as here. She said that it is Australian designers and when she returns home, she'll be out of date because she's been away for so long! We would like to get her something that she will keep, and remember us.
The budget for the nurses will be about 150$
I was looking to spend about 150$, myself too. I've thought of a passport holder (In beautiful leather from a Montreal based company), I've looked at some of the Tiffany pieces (there are some small necklaces...but I don't know if Tiffany is popular in Australia)

I know it's a heart, which is usually from a significant other, but she was a nurse on a cardiac surgery floor, so I thought the heart might be a nice reminder of her time here.
Any suggestions would be appreciated from the nurses, and from myself. I can't stress how wonderful this girl is. She's made such an impact on her colleagues, and the patients. Thank you!
