Hi All,
I have been trying to educate myself on the different types of cushion cut diamonds and I am still a little confused. What kind of cushion cut are AVC's? From what I understand they are antique like cuts, but are antique cushions then further broken down into sub-categories? Is it even possible to replicate the AVC's chunky appearance in a generic cushion diamond? Also, what does the old mine cushion cut look like? Thanks in advance.

Good Old Gold is cutting beautiful antique old mine cuts for excellent light performance. Jonathan also is cutting excellent cut Old European Cut rounds. He has lots of videos explaining the difference between these and modern cushions.

Here are some to look at:

and many, many others: http://vimeo.com/album/44206

More August Vintage cushions: http://vimeo.com/album/154295

I prefer the August Vintage stones because I know they are well cut and nowhere is there a selection of well cut antique cushions like these!
