I noted that most if not all of the GOG OMCs show thin or even very thin to slightly thick or thick on the girdle. Is this a concern or is this typical for this cut? I''ll be having mine set in a regular 4 prong setting, not a halo or anything like that, so I don''t know if this is OK. They aren''t open today or I''d talk to them as I''m about ready to pull the trigger.

And yes, I''ve been lurking a LOT and not saying much.

Shouldn''t be an issue with Jon''s new diamonds, if there is a particular one you are interested in with a very thin girdle just ask him about it, he will be able to reassure you. It isn''t always the case that a very thin portion of a girdle is a problem, sometimes it is only in a small area or not that thin at all. Jon will be pleased to help you with any specific diamond.

My OMC is also rated with a very thin girdle. I was very concerned and sent it to the wonderful Rich Sherwood to have a look. It was a non-issue since it was a very tiny area. I don''t think Jon will cut a diamond that will have an issue with a girdle.
