Glowing Diamond

Good Morning All

I had a quick query that I was hoping you could help me with. I''ve noticed in my cycle classes that my diamond glows under the flouresent light. Some of the other women in the class who have bigger or smaller diamonds than me don''t have the same thing happening with theirs.

Could someone please tell me why that is - my diamond is GIA certified, its 1.6 ct VS2, I colour - is this normal for a ring to do this, it goes like a solid white colour under the fluro light, whereas everyone else''s diamonds seem to stay clear?

Any explanations would be most apprecited.

It sounds like your diamond has fluorescence...it''s not a bad thing! Usually it glows more of a blue color though...check this out: http://diamonds.pricescope.com/fluor.asp
