What is everyone''s opinion on girdle thickness. I read somewhere that for a tiffany style ring you should stay in the medium to slighty thick range to avoid chipping. If you are looking a setting like this should you stay away from a diamond that has a very-thin to medium girdle thickness.

Thanks for the help!

I think I've seen the experts says that anything from slightly thin to slightly think is best. I think the only one at risk of easy damage is very thin. If you do a search on this, you'll probalby find several good threads.

You can never be too rich or too thin....
That's what they always say
Unless you're talking diamonds
Extremely thin...........stay away!

(esspecially in a princess cut, avoid girdles that are very thin or extremely thin)
