GIA Cert

How often does a GIA Certificate not match the diamond? I do understand that errors do occur but it would seem that it should be a very rare occurrence. Any information from some of the vendors who visit this website? Thanks

I'm not a Vendor, but...... In over a year here on Price Scope, I've only seen one buyer get a mismatched stone and Cert. The guy got the right Cert and the wrong diamond. In his case, he got a better diamond than the one he'd purchased.

Humans handle the diamonds and the Certs. Humans make mistakes. It happens. Not too often, but it does happen. When you think of the number of diamonds and Certs the Vendors and their employees handle in a day, a week, a month, a year, it's amazing to me that it doesn't happen more often!
