I am exactly 10 days away from my wedding and I am coming down with a cold....this has got to be the worse time to get sick because I have so many things to do.....OK, just wanted to vent!
Hope you kick this soon! It''s so very common at this point in the timeline as you''ve probably been burning the candle at both ends in the countdown! Feel better!!! You can make it!!!
Airborne. It is mostly vitamin C, but it is the best stuff you can take. You should take it twice a day since the vitamin C only stays in your body a few hours.
Make sure to moisturize your face and around your nose. You don''t want it to get dry and red from blowing your nose! That way your makeup will go on great in 10 days!!
I had the same thing happen to me the week of my wedding...could NOT afford to be sick. I went straight to my primary phys. and he gave me a z-pack. It did wonders...if you are able to, I would do so. Good luck!
FI swears by these vitamins he gets at Henry''s called "Wellness Formula." His m.o. is: at the first signs of a cold take 2 vitamins every 4 hours with plenty of water. He adds in extra vitamin C as well and extra rest.
The vitamins are big and thick and grainy and kind of icky. I think every 4 hours seems so excessive. BUT, twice I have followed his advice carefully (instead of laughing him off or slacking on dosage) and managed to derail a freight train of a cold. Of course you still GET the cold, but it really seems to shorten the duration and the wallop of the sickness.
I should put a disclaimer -- I think the bottle recommends twice daily. Anyhow, I do hope you manage to fend this off !
Drink lots of vitamin C powder...in hot water (or tea), cold water, juice, whatever. I like hot water w/ lemon (or Vit C poweder) and honey...that alleviates my congestion when I have a cold--plus it tastes good!
Oh that stinks! Hopefully it will be gone by the wedding. 10 days should buy you some time. Im so sorry
Drink some DanActive. It boosts the immune system. (You can get it by the yogurt at your local store)
Also buy some Zinc lozenges. If you take these 3 times a day when the cold first starts, it will help so that the cold doesn''t get full-fledged cold. If you catch it soon enough (otherwise it wont work)
