I have been posting here for the last couple of months. My partner and I have been looking at e-rings and I have been completely "dazed and confused" by the range! How on earth could I ever choose??!!!
The only think I knew is that I wanted my ring in platinum. Originally, I was thinking of a solitaire but they really didn''t suit my hand. Then I thought of a three stone and did try on some nice rings. I really liked an engraved platinum three stone ring with 18k highlights that I tried on but, as you all say, it didn''t speak to me.
On Sunday we were shopping and Damien suggested we go and look at rings. We went to Musson jewellers in Chatswood, Sydney (Australia) (www.musson.com.au). They are Argyle Panel Members and so specialise in pinks.
Suzanne, the assistant, was just wonderful and I explained that I really didn''t know what I wanted. I told her I wanted platinum and wasn''t really interested in princess cuts. Damien prefers RB as do I but I am partial to a cushion as well. Suzanne treated me like a princess and I tried on lots of different styles but kept coming back to the first one I tried on. The setting is called "Angel" and it is a Musson signature piece. It has a white centre stone with pear shaped pinks and is just to die for! When I saw it in the window, it didn''t really grab my attention. But when I tried it on - WOW! It''s just beautiful! The first one had an oval centre which didn''t really suit my hand. I tried on a couple of princesses in various sizes and then tried on an RB 80pt centre and it was just lovely (but was already sold). The pears are only little so the effect is quite subtle.
Suzanne showed then showed us several stones in the 1ct range and also various pink shoulders (drool). I picked a 1ct F VS1 centre and two pears that were 6P in colour and were a little "chubby" in shape, if that makes sense. After I tried the centre stone in a "test ring", they put them in a display box so we could get the effect (the jeweller was in store that day). Just so pretty!
This may sound strange as I''m the one who has to wear it, but I wanted to get a ring we BOTH liked. And we both liked this one.
I am a classic kind of girl and think this setting is a really nice contemporary classic.
What do you all think?
