Is Gemporia a good place to buy jewelry? The prices are amazing. Are they putting coatings on any of their stones?

Price looks in line with the quality. The overall colour and cut quality is terrible, so the stones will not be lively.

Amethyst - very pale, thus are inexpensive or the colour is unexciting
Sapphire - extremely dark (inky), included and poorly cut (huge windows), thus are inexpensive. Some are clearly diffused.
Emerald - who knows how they have been treated, could be filled up the wazoo since the inclusions are very obvious.

I could go on down the list but I think the message is clear. Buy them if you love them but know that they are cheap for good reasons.

I had never heard of them, but like-wise was underwhelmed.

They are headquarted in the UK and broadcast there and the US. I bought an ametrine from them. It was extremely pale and the setting was not well thought out. However it was very inexpensive.
