As promised I snapped a few shots of my new stones from Barry''s May drop. Enjoy!

First up is the Tourmaline, it''s a deep yet bright magenta in person w/a touch of copper in the sun.

I''m purposely sharing these blurry pics to show the contrast in color between the two stones.

The garnet is going into a halo ring but I have no clue what to do with the Tourmaline yet. Everytime I get a lovely stone I immediately want to set it into a ring so that I can admire it on my hand and so my pendant and earring collection is quite skimpy

I could see the Tourmaline in a pendant.

Chicago, they are stunners! Love the color of both, I think the tourmaline is so rich-looking - great choices!!

Oooh I missed it! It will make a gorgeous halo! I am with you on the rings, though. I have a hard time planning any jewelry other than rings, because I can''t see it if it''s a pendant or earrings!

Beautiful stones. Is the tourmaline hard to photograph? In your photo I only see hints of Barry''s peachy/bronze pink colour (colour of the stone in his website photo) around the outside edges, but the middle bit is more of a plum pink.
