I almost didn't click the link but then I read the above quotes so I knew it had a happy ending! LOL! That's the kind of fur coat I could happily wear!

Brilliant!

I must admit that I have no issues with some sorts of fur - obviously not tigers or ocelots or things like that, but farmed mink, or rabbit or similar.

But, what is the difference between wearing mink (humanely farmed) and using sable paint brushes, or wearing a rabbit skin coat when we eat them. So many people I know get all in a state about fur but happily buy python skin handbags and wear leather shoes. We shoot foxes as vermin here in the UK so why not wear the byproduct?

How did they DO that???

There are 3 panels stuffed with ferrets that let down - it looks like the coat is then bare, but the fur is actually under the panels. You can see the ferrets running around inside beforehand if you look closely.

I used to wear one of my pythons out to parties as a necklace - people didn't realise he wasn't a scarf till he moved. I wouldn't have done it with my female as she's nervous, but P used to love the attention. Royal Pythons will curl into a ball if they are scared or stressed so it would be easy to tell if he'd been unhappy. He was such a softy - I was devastated when he died in 2010.

Hi,

MZ I just loved this. My good laugh for the day.

I'll have to look at it again, Pandora -- you have quick eyes!

Cool to wear your python! :)) Must have blown people away! Pythons are less even-tempered than boas, right? At least, I think I've read that. How did you get interested in snakes? Reptiles are beautiful! (Thread jack here, apologies!) When we lived in San Francisco ages ago, I volunteered at their wonderful SPCA -- here I am wearing Elvis the Boa, who went on educational visits to schools. He was found in a trash can where someone dumped him after snapping him like a bullwhip & breaking many vertebrae. Took him a long time to heal up but he was ok in the end, nice fellow. How about pics of yours?

I worked in a museum for a couple of years, and the pygmy rattlesnake escaped from his cage. It's the size of a pencil, but can kill you with one bite. I went RIGHT home as soon as I heard.

I am not a snake fan. At. All.

Awesome video, Mozo! :wavey: I shared it with DH and DD and they thought it was cool, too!

Thanks for posting it!

Those animals looked delicious. :Up_to_something:

I always wanted one of those Russian/trapper hats because they look so warm and I think they're cute, so I bought one a couple of weeks ago. But when I got home I saw that the label said "rabbit" :blackeye: so back it went (i have two pet bunnies). I just can't do fur.

Me neither. When my aunt died, my uncle insisted I adopt her ton of furs -- "I want you to have them rather than some stranger." They stayed in my closet till he went, then I gave them to the hospital shop. I think fur looks much better on the animal.
