I had a desire this morning to buy a cute pair of small round diamond earrings set in a bezel. I went to bluenile's site and picked out some adorable D color, small table, great HCA 66points total weight. I was thinking these would be adorable for daily wear and a nice present which would arrive by Xmas.

Spent a good half hour going thru cuts and selecting....only to find they won't set in a bezel unless it's 80points or over. When I looked at them they were all much more money and many bad cuts. BUMMED!! ....Just venting here :nono:

Any suggestions who can make me a nice bezel, little pair???

Well, that stinks! I wonder why they have to be that big? I've seen much smaller ones in bezels but I cant remember
who they were made by. We're talking like 15 pointers. I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who can do it for a
reasonable price (try IDJ maybe?) but unfortunately wont be able to get them by Xmas :(sad .

I got mine from IDJ, an I LOVE them. They did them with very fine milgrain and a matte finish, and they're just perfect. Very reasonable price, too.

Hi Beacon! :wavey: There was a thread on smaller bezeled earrings not long ago. I'd try to find it, but it's time for me to return to work. I think the thread was in SMTR, within the past two weeks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll take a look for the conversation. Meanwhile, I did get them. I called BN and talked with the rep. Turns out they won't do bezel in 18k white, or in platinum unless it's over 80pts total weight. However, they were willing to do it in 14k white. Not my first choice, but whatever. Then I was annoyed cause the price of the 14k was same same as in 18k ($180). Of course it should have been cheaper! So I talked with the guy and he took $50 off.

So, in theory, these should arrive here tomorrow via FedEx. They are in the "signature cut" from BN. Didn't seek that, but that is how it worked out as they were the cut I wanted. I'll post the specs when they arrive as I forgot the details already. Mainly, they are small tables, high color, faint Fluor, SI1 clarity. I don't worry about seeing anything In little stones like this, so should be more than fine.

Was happy to see these qualified for the BN upgrade program should I get tired of them in the future. However, I am excited and hope they are gorgeous when they arrive!

your diamond ring reset...:)

Hi there...just looked at your gorgeous diamond ring that you had reset. Would you please possibly share with me the jeweler in Northern California that remade your diamond ring...it would not be as big as your diamond but really would love to get something done like yours but in a 1.78Ct. diamond. It's so hard to find someone to do what you want & in the quality that you want & someone you can trust but it looks like your jeweler followed your every desire. If you feel more comfortable to respond to my email address it is...**edited by moderator, please do not post personal information for your own safety** Thank you in advance for the information. Also tried to post this on your original blog on your reset diamond ring but it was locked. Hope to hear from you soon...kind regards...Lori
