Does anyone have experiance with the new front load washers and poison oak? Does the h.e. type detergent get the oils out of the clothes or should I be adding in some other kind of detergent also. So far all I have used is the 2X Ultra Tide h.e. and Clorox for colors however I double washed all the loads. I seem to be getting new small patchs of rashin different places a full week and a half after the initial contact. Need help getting more itchy by the day.

water and detergent...no matter the type of washer...... i suffer horribly from poison oak. i have frontload. 1.5 weeks of breakout is about 10 days and normal for some of us. also, you may have the oil elsewhere: garden tools, door, and other often used places. my fav is breaking out because the oil got on the seat belt........now that was fun. yuck!

movie zombie

ps i spent ALL of last summer broke out and i never got in the stuff. i''ve been in it and not gotten it. last summer it got into my system and despite all the cleaning of clothes, surfaces, interior of vehicles, garden tools, door knobs, etc., i kept breaking out. it would be less but still there. i''m still afraid to get into the pickup truck for fear the last of the poison oak hasn''t gotten out of the seat belt!
