Has anyone purchased any french cut moissanite? If so, where did you get them? I really want a frenchie eternity band but I'm having trouble finding a source. For that matter, where would one get a french cut diamond eternity (going for high quality cut but not necessarily for the name like Leon Mege).

I would check out CVB’s etsy shop. I am sure she can source some high quality moissanites for you. Another option is Julia B jewelry on etsy as well. There is a really pretty French cut eternity band on there. For a more affordable option, you can see mrsgreeneyes French cut moissanite from Tianyu Gems that looks pretty good. It is on the Tianyu Gems thread.

Thank you for the suggestions!!! I contacted Tianyu about a french cut moissanite channel set eternity. I wanted it in G/H but all they have available right now is F (Unless I want to buy 100 pieces of G/H). Here is my dilemma.. my engagement ring is an AVC Moissanite in G/H and if I get the eternity in F will that be a noticeable difference? In the past I would not have thought so, however, I have a Forever One shared prong eternity and that thing is so stark white that it looks really AWFUL with the e-ring.

@mrsgreeneyes I would especially love your opinion since you have french cuts from Tianyu.

I just went through the same thing with Tianyu, and ultimately went with the F color French cuts. They are not stark white at all. Still colorless, but they don't have that stark quality to them. You can see Frenchie in my avatar, those are the F color French cuts. The middle band has D color diamonds, and my solitaire is an F color OEC. To be fair, that pic was taken in my warmly lit, beige-walled bathroom, but you get the idea.

I went back and looked at my invoice for my Frenchie and they have G/H on the invoice. I was wondering why they said they could do it in G/H when I know you had to get yours in F. I will be fine with it as long as it matches the OEC stone.

Mine also says G/H on the invoice. Emily told me that I would be charged the G/H price, but they would be F color because that’s all they had in stock.

I kept asking questions to figure out my options and it sounds like they will give me G/H without buying 100 pieces!!! Now I'm second-guessing myself and wondering if I should go with F afterall. Any advice? I think my apprehension stems from seeing some G/H colored moissy that was clearly green but I can't remember who the vendor was - stars gems or tianyu.

Here are my G/H color moissies from Tianyu - NO green and no yellow body color, either. I would describe them as less stark before I said more yellow, if that makes sense.

The green I/J moissies I saw were from Starsgems.

I am going to ask them about the G/H color that was quoted on my invoice because they never said anything to me about them actually be ‘F’ stones. I ordered a G/H solitaire so I really want to make sure they match. I am going to let them know that there are 2 other people also wanting to do French cut rings in G/H so they will all get used up because a full eternity takes something like 20 pieces.

The green color that you may have seen in some Instagram videos are only if you ask for that color. They offer some J/K stones in a really warm color, champagne, light yellow or light green.

With Tianyu they offer DEF’s which are going to be pretty white. Maybe less with the F color but the DE is icy white. The G/H is near colorless but since I have 3 rings already in G/H from Starsgem, they all face up pretty white and match my H diamond exactly with no color difference.

I feel like I am posting the same picture in so many places but I think it illustrates how the stones look. Bottom is a 2 carat diamond ‘H’, the middle Meghan dup is G/H in white and yellow gold and the top elongated ACC is G/H in platinum. No green, yellow or champagne in those stones.

I still think G/H is the way to go but it depends on how sensitive you are to color. I will write to Tianyu so when they read it on Monday they will see that there are other people wanting French cuts in G/H.

I wrote to Tianyu and they just happened to respond back this evening. They checked with their stocks and they found out that they do actually have G/H available. She told me my band will actually be made out of G/H so it will go with the 10mm G/H OEC that I ordered. I let them know there are a few people interested in G/H French cuts so it should not be a problem accommodating these orders.

I am also very interested in getting a French cut eternity, and would prefer non-stark white stones. I had an antique diamond one I found on eBay but I got outbid and didn’t want to spend more because it needed some work. So this may be just what I need ... to go the moissanite route. :shifty:

I told Ella at Tianyu that there were a few other people interested in the G/H French cuts so she knows. Just send her an email and let her know you are interested. The email is [email protected]. I am getting the same one as mrsgreeneyes but I am sure there are other designs they could do.
