Hello Guys! I have found another RB and I need opinions on this.... Please let me know if this is a good diamond and something we should really consider.

GIA Certified
1.66 carat, E, SI1
7.59 - 7.66 x 4.71 mm
Excellent Cut
Excellent Polish
Very Good Symmetry
Fluorescence - None
Culet - None
Girdle - Medium to Slightly Thick
Depth 61.8%
Table 57%
Crown Angle 34
Crown Height 14.5%
Pavillion Angle 41.4
Pavillion Depth 44%

As always, I''d appreciate any feedback I can get.

Thanks and more power to all!

With this diamond, the pavilion angle is steep which the HCA penalizes for, but having said that I would really want an Idealscope image to check this diamond out....Can you ask for one from the vendor? See if you can find a diamond with a similar depth, table, crown angle, but with a pavilion angle of 40.6 or preferably 40.7- 41, then that is the spark plug which could help the diamond fire!

Thanks ladies, now I finally understood what HCA means.... Whew, soo much to learn!

It gave me a rating of GOOD for Light Return, Fire and Scintillation. VERY GOOD on Spread... Total rating of GOOD, 4.6, so should I be looking for more options? HaHa!

This was emailed to me by a a jeweler from the LA Jewelry District so I think an IdealScope report is out of the question.

I''d be looking online and see where my search leads me....

The HCA is used for elimination, so as you can see the diamond in question is not a good proposition. Aim to score 2 or below in most cases, then evaluate from there with idealscope and advice from your trusted vendor.

You can do a lot better in terms of cut. Check out the PS vendors and see what you come up with.
