So I found this ACA on white flash. The hca is. 5 the Aset on it is amazing. All the angles great. It has a lot of inclusions but whiteflash claims it's eye clean. How many of you have experience with an si diamond from white flash saying it's eyeclean and if so. Were any of you dissapointed when u got it? Thanks

if you are concerned you can always get it sent to you loose and then send it back to get it set.

I suppose that is an idea but is that a big hassle and doesn't it cost $ to ship it back? To me if white flash has the courage to say it's eye clean I was hoping maybe they really stand by that as they don't want people constantly sending diamonds back?

it all depends on your eyesight. ask WF if it is eye-clean to your standards (from 6"? from 12"? from the top only or top and side views?)

many SI1s are eye-clean (especially in smaller carat sizes) and I believe WF selects ACAs that do not have glaring inclusions. however, everyone's eyesight is different and definitions of eye-clean are different.

There are different definitions of eyeclean. There was a guide put together, but I have no idea where it is with many of the PS vendor definitions of eyeclean, and WF was listed (and of course, you can ask directly.)

My ering stone is a F/SI1 cushion. The inclusion is a black booger right under the table. Seriously, in mags it looks scary. Bob said it was eyeclean. And it totally and completely is - so much so that I've never feared table boogers again (and if you know anything about PSers, they normally steer clear of black table boogers). If I look hard, under certain lighting, I can make it out if I don't breathe or move. But I like knowing my stone's fingerprint is there.

So to answer your question, unless you have crazy vision, I'd be pretty confident in what they're saying. Just remember, it's face up, normal viewing conditions from a distance. (I can find my inclusion if I look about 4 inches away and nearly cross eyed...)

OK. Making more sense. Didn't know u could Call them up and ask them at what distance they look. Etc. Anyone know the $ to return a stone to white flash if its not up to my eye clean test?

Hi,

I had two ACA SI1 diamonds from WF that were impeccable! They were so amazing that jewelers would comment on them and people would look at my earrings when talking to me!

The plot maps on the ones I had showed less inclusions though...I think you can entirely trust that you can find the perfect SI1 from WF, but maybe shop around a bit more before deciding.

Good luck!
