This billboard went up about 1/2 a mile from my house. Looks like someone is celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary.

The sad thing is that I didn''t even realize what it was at first. I thought it was one of those cryptic ads that you find out what they mean later, the ones that just make you really curious.

FI was like "No, that''s a gift for his wife of forty years!"

Then it clicked. Then I was like "Oh my gosh, that is so touching!"

I was so happy when I hunted down the mini-article on it this morning.

My dad did something similar but on a much smaller scale

My parents celebrate their dating anniversary too. Theyve been married for 27 years, together for 39. They started dating at 12, my dad met up with her at a tree outside of school and asked her to be his GF. So 2 years ago, for their anniversary, he made a sign with "HisInitials + HerInitials Forever" in a heart and put it on the tree. Then later than evening, when they went to dinner, he detoured and took her to the tree. My mom balled and said it was the most romantic moment ever. My parents are so cute! lol
