Hi guys! :wavey:

So we had our engagement party this past weekend and received a bunch of bed bath and beyond gift cards and I have been DYING for a fondue set.

So I went out and bought one!

Now....

If there are any experts out there....what are some of your tips?

Do you have any good recipes for the cheese/broth fondue?

Ooh, I'm a die-hard fondue lover.

Tips:
- Use Wondra to thicken your cheese fondue.
- Cheese fondue with 1/4 Gruyere, 3/4 Swiss is delicious.
- Broccoli and green apples are good for a little variety in your cheese-dipping material.
- Top sirloin in cooking oil with a garlic clove is simple and yummy.
- Dipping sauces add another fun step to your meat-in-oil fondue.

I tend to make oil or chocolate fondue, sorry.

For oil, I usually serve meat, chicken, mushrooms and small onions. Everything must be patted dry to avoid splattering! As kittybean mentioned, dipping sauces are a must. I like to have a mild rose sauce, something tangy and mustard based, a curry and so on. A nice green salad and some side dishes and you are all set.

For chocolate, besides the usual fruits and cakes, I like to dip cheese. Ok, I have weird taste.
