I need a little advice if this is a good deal please:

.90 EGL usa cert round brilliant
G
Si1
6.26x6.20x3.81
61.2% depth
57% table
14% crown
43% pavillion

Egl rates it as ideal as did the HCA.

I have the opportunity to purchase for 3K. It seems like a good deal but I thought I would check with the experts.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Conservatively, seems promising, and I agree with your assessment. Comparing this to other comprables in the quick search, pricing conservatively is dead on, and compared to other possibly similar diamonds seen in the search by cut database, you could be saving $1500.

Understand what you want, and read the tutorial, if you haven''t. Per the survey, and sentiment here, EGL USA is likely to be only off by a color grade or so. Also, there''s warnings here from Garry to not use the %s that EGL provides and get sarin instead (though as an experienced viewer, he will ignore sarin, too!), I think %s are reasonable...especially in your case where the yielding .9 is well away the 2 and higher that would call this a dog.

Know what the criteria would be for you to walk away, if it was other than the specs. Without further study, you could be good to go. Determine if you need an appraisal at all apart from what you''d get with the goods, and what criteria would cause you to walk away if it wasn''t noted by the appraiser if you get one. But, between you, me, and the wall, seems quite promising.

Best wishes

Thanks, I hope you are right. In addition to peoples thoughts on this rock, can anyone recommend a good appraiser in the Dallas Tx area?

Nothing against Regular Guy (I appreciate the response) but I was hoping for a little more feedback. Did I do something wrong or was this post just to similar to others to warrent a response?

I know little about diamonds (that''s why I''m here), but I would want to know about the girdle before I purchased any stone. Did I miss that? Do you know whether it''s very thin, thin...and so on? (I''d stay away from anything that''s super thin)
