Finding / Creating Setting.... Scott Kay "ish"

Hi everyone-

I''m trying to purchase a E-Ring. The type of ring/setting that we want to get resembles Scott Kays design very closely...

I was wondering if anyone could help with pointing me in the direction of a custom design... etc.


I''ve been told by some vendors.. they cannot "re-create" the scott kay setting.

I''m looking for a three stone ring, and then channel set stones aside those. With a "surprise" diamond...
Scott Kay wants 6k for any setting close.

Or we''d be willing to settle for a Solitare design with channel set stones but again needs to have the "surprise" diamond. (diamond set on the side of the setting)

Center will be Princess-
would like the other stones to be princess/square also.


What does everyone suggest or recommend? I was trying to save some money... but again I cant seem to find anything with surprise diamonds.

There is no way for me to post pictures of these scott kay designs, but the model #''s are - M1155QD10 & M1154QD10

Thats correct that a vendor cannot copy another designers work doe to copyright issues. There needs to be a 20% change from the original to the copied setting.

Have you looked at Whiteflash.com? They have a flush fit surprise diamond setting that you may like. I''m sure they could change the sidestones to princess cuts.

Also, contact Julian at Pearlman''s Jewelers. They carry Scott Kay and have the best prices that I have found! I just bought a Scott Kay solitaire from them and should be getting it sometime this week.

Are you looking at Platinum? Because the setting might be less in palladium.
