Long story short, I''ve been a lurker for quite some time. I received my diamond just over 3 years ago, a beautiful 1.08 carat oval, vs2, E color (what other specs am I forgetting?). I adore it and wouldn''t trade it for anything! The care and time that my now-husband put into its selection is very touching...and then when it came time to choose a setting, he told the jeweler to "put it in whatever is standard." Currently, I have matching plan 2mm yellow gold bands and a 6-prong head for my diamond.
I''ve been admiring quite a few of the lovely settings here on pricescope, and I feel like I have finally made a decision that I am 100% certain about!
After visiting numerous stores and eyeing some beauties on sites like Pearlman''s, Nice Ice, etc., and even inspecting the Ritani Endless Love setting to see if it was for me, I actually decided to go with a more simple solitaire and get an eternity band. I decided to go to a local store for a 4-prong platinum Precision Set solitaire setting that is being custom-made to fit my diamond. That should be here within 3 weeks!
I had the store also order a custom-made Suni channel-set eternity band for me, but then I found one at Facets that was slightly bigger, better quality stones (higher color, ideal cut) *and* cost $700 less!
Naturally, I ordered from Facets and expect that to arrive in about 3 weeks, as well. I''ll take it to the store and make sure that it''s as lovely, if not moreso, than the Suni ring that I loved. I am beyond excited and actually floored that I finally made a decision!!!
