Went to the big going out biz sale at bailey, banks & biddle and found one of the settings my GF really liked for 50% off. It''s a round platinum solitaire ring with a single row micropave’ shank platinum.

Also got a sweet scott kay triple row pave band that really complements the ER. Feels good to at least have this done.

The setting can handle any round stone from .5 to 2 ca, but would this specific setting look best if I get a stone of any special characteristics or should I just find the best cut round diamond (between 1.5 & 1.7) I can afford?

Congrats on getting the setting! And for 50% off!! That''s even better!! Personally, if I were you, I''d probably be safe than sorry and go for the best round diamond you can get. It''s gonna be lovely once it''s on her finger! Don''t forget to come back with handshots!

Very pretty ring! I''d get the best RB diamond you can get.
