Final Decision

Well, We went to the jeweler''s show today and looked at a few trillians with a setting that she liked. Turns out once she saw the shapes, she didn''t like them. Princess cuts were by far the best look for her. I''m planning to order within the next couple days, things are looking good.

I''m generally pretty color sensitive, so normally wouldn''t go for an L, but the diamond you posted looks gorgeous. As an Infinity, AGS0 diamond, it should be a spectacular cut. The strong blue fluorescence may even "whiten up" the diamond a bit. See the link below for an incredible O colored, Infinity diamond from Wink. It may be a great way to get the size your gf wants within the budget you have set!

An L in a princess is going to be quite warm...and noticeably so. You might want to make sure that she''s ok with sacrificing that much color for the size.

If you can''t get a 1ct in your budget then maybe you could get a Halo setting to make the diamond appear larger

The Infinity link didn't work for me. I wouldn't shy away from Fluorescence at all. It only shows up in bright sun light as a light blue tone. Not really unattractive at all. It's desirable in warmer colors.

I agree check with her if she is ok with the colour, you will likely notice some tint in an L Princess - wouldn''t bother me but it depends on your GF.

Fortunately she is involved in the search, so it will not be a problem to send it to them for inspection. I want to correct a previous staatement that this is an AGS 0 cut grade, it is actually an AGS1 for a minor polishing defect at the culet. This is not visible to the eye. Sometimes the crystal just will not let us finish it perfect with the princess cuts. Still, it has an AGS 0 light performance grade, which is what you can see.
