Hope fellow experts are able to shed some light into the ideal scope hearts and arrows phenomenon and also ASET scope.

I have looked at 2 diamonds, trying to decide between the two;

the first one is quite sparkly (looks like there are heaps more facets under white and yellow light), but my concern is that under the ideal scope there is one arrowhead that looks skewed (at 9 o''clock in the idealscope image below) even though the body of the arrows match the arrowheads - how will this arrowhead shape affect the diamond and its appearance?

the specs are:
EVS1 1.00 carat
Ex/Ex VG (symm - is this the reason for the skewed arrowhead)
Table 55 Depth 61
Girdle - medium-sl thick
Crown 34.5 Pavilion 40.8
Fluorescence nil Ct nil

I have included the idealscope image for this stone.

The other diamond under white light, is more "see through" and very very clear (almost like a clear crystal under white light).

Is this feature good for diamonds?

But compared to the first, under the idealscope, all the arrows match the heads and the arrowheads are symmetrical looking "perfect arrows" - is this b/c of the Ex/Ex/Ex symmetry and does this mean it will be more sparkly?

The specs are
EVS2 1.01
Ex/Ex/Ex
Girdle medium-sl thick
Table 56 Depth 61.6
Crown 35 Pavilion 41
Fl nil Ct nil

In regards to cost, both are about the same, first is 9000, second is 8600.

Would appreciate any opinions!!! Thank you once again

The HCA on the first diamond is 1.2 with three excellents and one very good. The HCA on the second diamond is 2.2, with all very good scores. I can't tell from the IS about the arrows. Have you seen these stones in person? I would suggest you have a look--or see photos--through the hearts and arrows viewer to see if the hearts and arrows look good to you. What has the vendor told you about these stones? If you are unsure, an independent appraiser can help you with this. Perhaps you could make purchase contingent upon an appraisal.

By the numbers, the first diamond would be my choice; but, I would still want to see the grading report, IS image, and hearts and arrows pics

ETA: I didn't notice that you had seen the diamonds. It sounds like the first one is a winner and I don't think that one arrow head will affect your viewing pleasure!
