"Hey - I am in a photography workshop this weekend with a very well-known photographer from San Francisco. They are looking for a bride (in her wedding gown) to photograph. Would your bride-to-be be interested in posing for our group this weekend - not sure exactly when. It''s a really cool opportunity -sorry for the last minute notice. Whoever they had booked just backed out for a medical reason..."

The photographer is Hanson Fong. This may be a great opp since I''m not getting any bridal portraits done before the wedding. The only problem is, my dress JUST came in last weekend and I haven''t had it altered yet. Everything would fit just fine for pictures, except for the length. I''d have to wear 6 inch heels or something..ha. I''m waiting to hear back from this lady on if this can be worked around.

That would be so awesome!!! I bet they could do 3/4 length photos and sitting photos so you would never be able to tell it was too long.

One of my girlfriends worked at a Marriot and was wedding-planning and they used her for their honeymoon suite brochure/website.

This is going to be difficult to pull off.

First off, it''s on Sunday (Mother''s Day). They are giving me a couple of time options, but I''m trying to use my hair stylist and makeup stylist, but they have mothers too! The makeup girl from MAC can''t do it, though she''s going to refer someone else. The hair stylist hasn''t called me back yet, but he''s friends with my friend and I know he has a Mother''s Day brunch. I don''t want to go through with it if I can''t get the exact look I want. Also, I would have to pick up my dress and pay the rest of the balance when I do.

I''m doing the shoot tomorrow!!! I picked up my dress this morning! I didn''t have time to get it pressed, but I think it will look fine in the pictures tomorrow. My hair stylist is doing the up-do for FREE and having his friend do the make-up also. I hope the make-up turns out well! The chick from MAC would not do it for free even though she would be promoted big time at this photographer''s workshop.

I''m kind of nervous!!

I''m giving my mom our camera to take pictures also, so I will post some when I can!

Wow...what an experience this was!!! Hanson Fong was amazing! Here''s his website:

This man charges $8000 to shoot weddings and I got to have him shoot me for free. I should be getting a cd of pics here pretty soon I hope. I had abot 20 photographers ooohing and awwwing over me for a couple of hours. I felt pretty special.

My mom wasn''t able to take pics, but I will post them when I get the cd.

I started having 2nd thoughts about our photographers that we booked, but I just looked at their website and blog again...they are just amazing. I''m lucky to have caught them while they''re building their wedding portfolio. I''m only paying $750 for them and I think they''re amazing. When I told Hanson and the others the price I was paying, they were shocked. They started asking me all these questions like they were worried I booked some horrible photographer. But just look at their site...they are great!
