TR and the boys are absolute machines when it comes to plowing through anything tasty. My weakness is chocolate -- especially dark -- and I LOVE Ikea's big dark bars. Only a buck! How can that be?!? But I digress. Whenever I go there I usually get 6... 8.. 10. Well I'm down to my last one and an eighth. I allow myself an eighth per week day (not on weekends) and I never cheat on the amount (although I do sometimes have it earlier than my own self imposed 4 pm chocolate time). The stash is in with a bunch of files and if the house burned down I'd grab my jewelry first, my car keys second, and the remaining chocolate third. Only then would I leave the premesis.

Who else has a little something delicious tucked away right now?!

This is my weakness and I've kept a steady supply of at least 3-4 of them in the house since the beginning of quarantine. 1 of them is always on my nightstand and I eat a few here and there when I need a pick me up. And it's the only snack I won't share with the kids (too much chocolate! It'll rot your teeth!)

My DH is a like a possessed vacuum cleaner when it comes to sweets all the while proselytizing about how bad that sort of food is for "your" (meaning my) health. Meanwhile, he'll eat half a pie or cake for breakfast when it's available, which is rarely. I hide my "I ain't sharing none-o-this with nobody" nonperishables in the cupboard above the ovens. Although the cupboard is in plain sight, he has yet to notice it after 15 years living in this house. (This is the guy who wouldn't notice an entire house full of new furniture for at least a year after it's acquired ) Ice cream is hidden in the garage chest freezer where I store the cats' whole prey.

I have a stash of salted peanuts

I always like to have savory snacks on hand, such as prosciutto and jamon. I got some smoked sturgeon on Thursday and that has been quite the treat. I don’t have to hide anything though; my husband is pescatarian but doesn’t really love fish unless it’s sushi!

My SIL sent me a meme several years ago showing chocolate hiding inside a bag of frozen veggies. She was amazed by the idea.
I guess she never noticed the Greek yogurt container in my fridge...the one with the 3 yr past expiration date. It was full of chocolate for all the years my kids were growing up. No one but me eats Greek yogurt so it's the perfect spot for a little secret stash. I did change out the container occasionally when the printing started to wear off, lol.

My friend Janet knows I love Butterfinger peanut butter cups and brought me a bag that had 20- yes 20 inside. I gave hubby 2 and stashed the rest in a cupboard drawer.

Oh for sure chocolate in my nighttable drawers!

My snacks are safe because I am the only one that like Chocolate/ice cream/cookies with mint or peanut butter and spicy snacks (almonds/chips).

I am quarantined with my 20 year old daughter, 17 year old son and my 16 year old daughter. They inhale sweets the second I bring them home from the store.

Pssst, I have a secret stash of M&Ms in a small mason jar in my sweater drawer. I don't eat them often, but when I crave a sweet, I know they are there! I spend so so so much money feeding my kids (and I feed them well too!), I have zero guilt saving the M&Ms for just me :)

Nobody touches special stuff I buy for myself, DH needs his hands for work so he can't afford to lose them lol! The boys (13 and 5) have to ask permission to get snacks and we give them options.

I know that's sounds a little over the top but we are both overweight and the kids aren't so it seems to be working so far.

My other half and I have such different tastes in desserts and indulgences...
I honestly, truly don't want anything to do with his super-salty-weirdly-smushy-smells-like-a-just-opened-packet-of-star-anise licorice.
And he routinely tells me that if I eat any more coloured sugar pellets I'll start whinnying.

I do stash some of the Indian sweets my mother and grandmother make because left to his own devices he'll inhale them and leave me half of the smallest one.
Only problem is that I pick really really safe hiding places... Last time I stashed a box my mum gave "us" I forgot where I put it :???:Somewhere in this house the mice are probably having their best year...

Everything is sold out at the store but @yssie's house:

I haven’t yet. My husband may start keeping a stash. He loves Chips Ahoy and I kind of went overboard with them tonight.

I like different types of chocolate to my kids so they have their own stuff and I have my own stuff and everyone remains happy :lol::lol::lol:

As I sit here looking at the four mini candy bar wrappers I just ate at 12:30 tonight...I'd have to say yes. I don't hide them exactly, but I guard them like a dragon would and dole them out as I see fit. This is me saying NO.dragon.jpg

Not a sweet stash, but I’m hiding a three-week supply of instant ramen bowls and a mega box of granola bars. Because when I saw Carl Grimes from the Walking Dead thrill at finding a huge can of chocolate pudding, it was burned into my memory. There might be a roommate scenario in my future, and they can have my spicy chicken flavor noodles when they pry them from my.... wait, this imagery has gone too far.

Ferrero Rocher have a hiding place in my downstairs pantry now, My very skinny 12 y/O son (he's got my late father's physique, not my DH's or my chubby silhouette) would be capable of eating a family pack in one sitting or constantly eat "just one" for a day or two until they are gone.
I've tried to gently explain the effects for teeth, blood sugar and that time he really ate them in a few hours I explained what diabetes is. To no avail. So they remain hidden.

HI:

Can't really be called a stash if your DH buys chocolate bars at he gas station then eats them outright. I didn't know people did that until I discovered my DH did. Oh, "at least" he brings home chips. All the good stuff!

cheers--Sharon

No secret stash as everything is the house is mine and mine alone! :lol-2:

I have a stash of at least 2 x 10s if not more of caramel waffles, just one, may be 2 a day, and don't like to run out.

DK :))

Yes, my partner does not understand the words 'moderation', 'ration' or ' later' for that matter. Can't buy chips or chocolate or fizzy drinks or juice in bulk because it disappears within days. No matter the quantity. I hide stuff in my baking boxes on the top shelf hoping he is too lazy to get the ladder. Even then it fails sometimes. We have had fights about it.
'Where are the truffle chips?'
'I ate them'
'I told you I was saving them for company'
'But you bought them a week ago and they hadn't been eaten'
'They were for the party we are having tonight, in 2 hours'
'Well i thought it was ok'.

I swear, if i ever go to jail for murder, it will be because he said 'I thought it was ok' one too many times.

I always have a few pieces of Mozart Kugeln, a marzipan/pistachio/dark chocolate confection, hidden in my room. They are too sweet and rich to eat often, but every now and then...

Mmmmmhhh.... Reber brand only... I also like the milk chocolate... Too sweet.. Almost..

.......Who would of thought my fellow PS'ers were so devious! I am truly inspired! My husband is 6'2''. My son is growing like a weed.New mission for the day, finding a secret sweet stash! :Up_to_something:

And if I get into trouble I can blame you guys!

It's not secret but it is my guilty pleasure stash that only I eat. I allow myself 2 squares a day. Dark chocolate. Yummmmmm.

If I am super stressed I might have an additional one or two squares but :shhh:. That's just between us OK?

Of course I have a sweet stash! My kids, when they lived home, did find my cookie stash in the freezer  If I hadn’t kept them hidden, they would’ve been gone long before I had a chance to enjoy them. I mean, they did have their own goodies that I didn’t touch.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Do I have a secret stash? Sometimes! I try not to keep too much junk in the house... but when I do have treats for myself, the kids know those are 'mom's things' and never eat them. They are really good about it actually. But I also always have a few special things around for them (in the 'family cupboard'), for their desserts, snacks, etc.

The only time I have to hide anything is when one particular guest is over... this person likes to be preachy about eating healthy, but will shamelessly go through my kitchen and ask to eat whatever treats pique their interest. So when that person is coming, if I have anything I don't want to share, I hide it!! lol

@anne_h omg to your critical guest who snoops. If I had a guest like that they wouldn’t be welcome here too often. ::)

However, I agree path of least resistance is best and yes hide it all. Not worth the energy to explain to your guest. But it’s none of her business!

Yes and it’s EMPTY due to my poor planning!!!

Try searching online every day. Things are getting restocked. Many sites were out of my chocolate but then I found it online at a vitamin store!

Good luck.
