Hi all - I posted yesterday about the prongs for my Vatche U-113. I decided to ask for petite tabs to not stray too far from the intended design.

I'm about to place my order and wanted to get opinions on the diamond I chose. I know being an ACA it will perform but I admit I'm curious what you all think about the crystal under the table. I talked with Michelle at WF and she said it is eye clean at 10 and 6 inches. She was able to see the crystal on magnification and said I'd probably be able to find it if I'm looking for it. I sort of like the idea of it having a "birthmark" but watching the super magnified videos make it really jump out and look obvious!

I'm replacing a 1.21 H VS2 and I'm really excited about the size of this one and going up to an F color. The SI1 allows me these upgrades while also staying within my budget. Michelle also said the price could be competitive because they've had the diamond for about a year with the same price (I asked why it was priced lower than I'd expect for this size and color). Any other thoughts or opinions before I seal the deal?

The diamond is beautiful! I think it would depend on how good your eyesight is. I'd want to know for sure that "I" couldn't see the inclusion with my own eyes in any lighting or at any angle. We all feel differently about these things of course, but it's hard to unsee a flaw once seen. It's placement right on top of an arrow gives me pause, but it wouldn't bother me if I could never see it without magnification.

Keep in mind you could always go for this stone now and enjoy it. If you find that the inclusion bothers you, there's always the opportunity to upgrade down the road to a diamond of the same size and color, with better clarity. At that point the cost of said upgrade may feel minimal and comfortable compared to the cost of upgrading all at once right now to a 1.4 F/VS1-VS2.

What Michelle said makes sense....if you're looking for it (up close I assume) that you'll be able to find it. I have a few SI 1 Super Ideals
and it doesnt bother me. My eyes arent that great anymore so I can not see any inclusions. My original ering is an SI1 pear where if
I looked hard enough I could find the inclusion. I was fine with it too.

Agree with @rainydaze . If you come to find that the inclusion does bother you, you can always update at a later date. I'm not one to
be very sensitive to most SI1 inclusions so keep that in mind!

Lovely stone btw!

My only concern is the lab report is a year and a half old so could be a trade in for an upgrade.

I believe wf re-certifies stones when they are traded in, since another poster mentioned it when he or she did an upgrade.

Yes definitely! I’m someone who never thought I’d upgrade but after losing my first ring it’s easier to picture trading in down the road. Having that option by going through WF is a huge advantage!

I did wonder that myself but Michelle said it had not been owned before. But maybe I should confirm that. I did find it interesting that the cert was over a year old but maybe that’s not unheard of?

I would confirm that with CS that it's not a trade in and never been bought before. It's not totally unusual that a stone would have a cert that long ago but I would double check to be sure.

I have a crystal in the table of my diamond and I can only see it in certain lighting when I am looking for it. I know it’s there and it doesn’t bother me at all. :)

Thanks, I will ask Michelle! It doesn't really bother me if it is being resold but I like knowing as much as I can about my purchases. I'm a nerd for stuff like this 8)

This what I'm hoping too! I wanted to choose a diamond without a lot of clouds scattered throughout. It was difficult to find an ACA with the size I wanted and price I could afford without any inclusions under the table at all.

That crystal doesn't look super noticeable to me assuming normal eyesight and viewing distance. Looks like a lovely stone.

Thanks! So excited to see it in person.

Am guessing the light return will be so awesome that even if you could see it with the naked eye you would have to be looking for it. Pretty diamond.

My one must-have was it needs to sparkle like crazy! My old diamond was a 60/60 but with favorable angles so it was very sparkly (to me) with nice spread. My only concern is a super ideal will have a different personality but I’m sure I will be very happy with an ACA after wearing it 8)

An ACA will be a more balanced stone which most people favor on PS
