Just a quick comment on the ideal scope... I used it quite a few times and it''s a great tool.

There are 2 holes on the light for you to compare stones side-by-side. However, when you place the loop on top of one stone, the loop bumps the other stone out, covering the center of the other hole. If the holes can be drilled diagnally, then you can space them apart more without changing the design of the light. Just my 2 cents.

Also, an ideal cut stone should show 8 arrows. The arrows shoot out from the center, and the base of the arrows form a circle in the center. The sample CZ that came with the kit has a huge center circle, whereas real diamonds have a much smaller one. So I was confused when I saw the first few stones... Can the CZ circle be made to look more like diamonds'' or is that just the way to tell CZs from diamonds?

Points taken - we have been thinking to drill the holes a little closer together - but alos we do need people to move the scope over the top - and not look from only 1 position.

This CZ is the best on the market - CZ has a lower RI and that is why the center 'table reflection' does have to be a little larger.
