Feather on Girdle - Should I Worry?

Looking for a 1 carat with a budget of USD4,000.

This one looks good but would appreciate thoughts regarding that feather on the girdle. Currently have it on hold. No ASET possible.

Without going to look at the stone you are referencing as I am a vendor and not allowed to comment on other people's diamonds, I will refer you to this excellent post by John Pollard about feathers.

A feather is usually not an issue in a VS2 stone but you can double check with the vendor. That stone is IGI certed. I would ask
them to compare the color with a well cut GIA. We like to stick to GIA and AGS graded stones because others tend to be off in
color/clarity but each stone must be evaluated on its own merits.

Ditto to what tyty said. Set your search parameters to GIA and AGS only. That stone looks more tinted than J color to me. If the price was lower than GIA J's, then I can almost guarantee it it isn't a true J.
