Fancy yellow heart pair - studs or dangles?

Hello friends.

David from DBL has sourced a pair of 1.42 ctw fancy yellow hearts for me. I am torn between studs and dangle earrings.

I know I will prong-set the stones in 18k Yellow Gold with a colorless diamond halo.

Do you think I should do studs or dangles?

Each stone is about .71 each and with the halo they will look nice on the lobe.

The studs inspo photo is from Google. The dangle earrings are from the DBL site.

I own solitaire studs and other diamond studs from Whiteflash. I don't really own dangles. I tend to braid my hair and don't leave it loose so all kinds of earrings show on my ear.

Dangles! I think the hearts going off kilter as a stud would bug me and I bet it would happen easily.

I would advise choosing a design that would suit your needs/lifestyle to get the most wear out of them, which sounded like studs to me

Personally, I would opt for a pair of interchangeable dangles to go with my small diamond huggies, to add to my collection of interchangeable dangles.

The small dangles are the ones I wear throughout the warmer months with my collection of Jams World Hawaiian shirts with low/flat collars.

The larger and blingier dangles are worn for dressier occasions with open V-neck tops without a collar.

Each to their own and all that.

Sounds like you have enough studs in your collection so I’d go for dangles for variety!

Wow amazing! I wonder if I could make the hearts detachable to wear with my studs. I suspect the drop part would need to be a bit longer for clearance.

I am toying with getting a better pair of Tahitian drops, however, I am pretty satisfied with this pair as they cost significantly less than the other 2 pairs!

An update- I requested David to make the earrings into dangles. Thank you for the feedback, everyone!

I will make a thread on SMTB once my suite is complete - I already own a FY heart ring from DBL and I am currently making FY heart earrings and a FY heart pendant.
