Welcome all. Fairly new here from jersey.

Tell me what you guys think. Thinking of buying this stone from a local dealer. Have done some research seems to be a decent deal. Ill put some information down.

GIA certification info

Cushion modified brilliant
7.70 x 6.52 x 4.33 mm
1.85 ct
natural fancy yellow
even distribution
si 1 clarity
polish-very good
symmetry-good
fluorescence-none

table-65%
depth-66.4%
cutlet-none
girdle-medium-extremely thick

stone is eye clean. cannot see any inclusions. report shows in inclusion near the side of table as a crystal inclusion. I could not make it out by eye or at 10x. I am no professional though. Color is exactly what I want I would say in between fancy yellow and fancy intense. The ring is set in 18k yellow gold setting with two half moon white diamonds .35 total weight on side in platinum

I was given the lowest price of $15,000. I thnink it appears to be a fair deal. I would greatly appreciate some opinions.

Impossible to help without seeing IRL but it sounds like you found your color in the world of Fancy colors..., which means a lot...

Did you do some comparing? If not..., I strongly suggest!

Thank you. Yes I have been doing comparing for awhile now. And this is probably best I have done. Also the stone and ring and setting is everything I want to get. Really never considered buying a pre set ring until now seeing this. Was mostly looking only as loose stones and a few set rings every now and then. Really considering this. This may be stupid but what do you mean by IRL? Thanks again.

disregard. IN REAL LIFE. am i right? ha. Ill try to post a picture. I have one on my cell phone have been trying to upload on computer.

I have a yellow pear diamond as my engagement ring- and the color is the first thing to look at... at a SI1, the "yellowness" of the stone can mask inclusions really well, which is nice.
IRL --> In real life. When you buy a fancy color, it becomes a different set of parameters than buying a colorless one in my opinion...

do you have pictures of this beauty?! :)

not a great photo but all i got

oh my!!!!!!!! That is an awesome stone!!! The color is golden! Looks a lot like mine...Color-wise...

It is really gorgeous ring and setting - Are these 1/2 moons or ovals on the side? Stunning in my opinion!
Will this be for an engagement ring?

yes it will. Have not gotten it yet. but am really considering it. you think its fair price.

Sorry about above reply without adding this. Yes those are half moons on side which total .35 ct.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I am terrible for pricing. I got my 5.13Ct yellow pear in the low low 20's. but it was really an awesome deal.
I am a pretty bad judge when it comes to pricing... I am sure others will pitch in with more opinion and info.

Ultimately, it is really up to you to determine what fair pricing is for your budget and what will you be getting...
In my opinion, for almost 2CT with the design and the side stones, I would think it is a fair price... But you need to do your Due Diligence and make sure that you are happy with what you are offered.

This is in my budget. What I wanted to spend. For what I have been finding elsewhere both online and in eprson it seems to be around best I have done. I have found diamonds which were vs1 and higher yet they just didnt appeal to me as much. This is the color I wanted not too dark not too light. I just dont want to get ripped off you know. I do trust my jeweler and all this is just a big purchase for me. I am young and besides buying cars this is only thing I have spent this much on you know. And above all, within budget want my girlfriend/future wife to be proud and happy with it.

As you realize, there are so many aspects that contribute to making sure it actually is a good deal.
These include things like making sure the dealer is sound, and reliable.
You''ve already made sure it''s a GIA report- a great first step.

If everything else is in line, the price is fair.

BOUGHT THE RING TODAY!!! After some time I got the jeweler to come down just a tad more. Which always helps. I will have the ring friday after it is cleaned and polished nicely and sized to spec. Thanks to everyone for their help. Plenty of pictures and handshots to come. You all will have to wait till vacation time next month when the question is asked

Its absolutely beautiful, many congratulations!

oh wow!!! That is a beautiful ring!!! I am so glad you posted a new picture, the yellow is so vivid. What do you think you''ll do for a wedding band?

Not sure about the band. Probably just white stones and platinum. I have seen nice bands with yellow and white stones just may be hard to match colors well you know. Any advice. Obviously my future wife will have final say on band though. I picked out the band I want already though.
