Fancy shape (Emerald cut diamond) cut information from GIA.

Hello! I'm new here, so please understand if I posted the wrong way or the wrong thread!

Silly question, but anyway, My fiance bought me a nice Emerald cut diamond last December from Adiamor. I noticed that the cut information is not included in the GIA report. I asked Adiamor about this, and was told that GIA does not include a cut report for fancy shape diamonds, instead, they will look into the diamond's table and depth or maybe proportions (or something like that). Is this normal? if so, does anyone know why?

Yes, it is normal.

There is only GIA cut grading on rounds at this time. With fancy cuts, you use other means such as photos and light performance tools like an ASET scope in addition to the measurements.
