Thanks everyone for your earlier answers to my prior questions. Much appreciated.

Could you provide some insight on this particular diamond from Blue Nile?

Cost $22,400

1.72 carat
F Color
VVS2
Triple Excellent
FAINT Fluorescence

Table 57%
Crown 36
Pavilion 40.6
Depth 61.9%

Thanks!

The crown angle is too big. Should be around 34. I also wouldn't recommend buying from them because they don't give you the necessary images to make a well informed purchase online, IE: ideal scope, aset and I don't think they do pictures on most of them. So a big NO for me.

Looks good. The diamond is not too deep, and the crown angle is a good match for the more shallow pavilion angle. A general rule is the steeper the crown, the more shallow the pavilion angle should be, and vice versa (steeper pavilion angle requires a more shallow crown angle). Blue Nile does not provide Idealscope images or photos, so you are buying strictly by the numbers. But Blue Nile has a good return policy, so you could always return it if you did not like the looks of the diamond in person. Have you run a comparison on the price of this diamond with other diamonds of comparable size, color, and clarity? You can use the search engine at the top of page on this site to do that.

Any particular reason you want that really high clarity? It's $$$
