These are my friends rings & are just stunning. I’ve had the pleasure of trying on the solitaire, but she was only given the eternity a couple of weeks ago & I haven’t seen her yet. Arghh!

Red paste? That's so cool! That's such a beautiful red. Yummy.

Conveniently, garnet is my birthstone and the garnets I've seen definitely tend to be more on the spectrum of red that I much prefer. Having said that, trying to choose a worthy coloured stone scares me... I need to spend more time in the coloured stone forum to hone my skills a bit... hmm!

Oh my gosh look at you having such wonderful jewellery connections to a well praised presence on pricescope! :lickout:

The thing... Theme?... I like so much about his work is how chunky and solid everything is... But still in a beautiful and feminine way. What was it like in person?

Stunning, heavy & big. She is a very tall, elegant woman with big hands, so it was WAY to big for my size K finger. The diamond itself is 1.5ct. It looks beautifully in proportion on her & she has very glowy, sun kissed skin. Just all round yellow gold yumminess. I have to add also, that HG made my eternity ring & you know what? The inside is sexier than the outside. Is that weird?!? It’s so heavy, fully rounded inside, solid platinum with no cleaning holes (he knows I am VERY hard on my hands & my rings are on 24/7 so need to be sturdy & strong) and I absolutely love it. Occasionally I remove my solitaire for the gym etc, but the wedding & eternity stay.

I have known HG for donkeys years & have put several friends in touch with him. He trained at a ‘very’ well known bench. *French, cough!*

Thank you Lykame. It’s my pleasure, I’m glad you're enjoying them. I just so love looking at jewellery, especially rings, so its lovely to share them with people who also appreciate them too.

I agree with you, they are beautifully crafted but also manage to be sturdy/chunky and you can see and feel the quality and amount of metal he puts into them. Definitely something special... I can’t wait to get my own!

Wow Alex T, lucky you being able to see your friends solitaire and try it on..what a kind friend. I can imagine you’re doubly keen (lol) to meet up with her to see the next ring. Did she commission them with her partner or was it a surprise? Please don’t answer if she’d rather we didn’t know.

She won’t mind me telling you. She was proposed to with the diamond, in a plain platinum solitaire. She had been with her husband for a billion years by this point & their youngest child, who is in my daughters class at school, was 9. She always said if they ever married she would use her late mother’s 18ct yellow gold wedding ring. So she was a bit stuck, with her lovely new platinum ring & (finally!) married last summer with her mother’s band. So I put her onto HG, she & her husband went to meet him & the new solitaire & eternity were designed & made at the same time. But....! She had NO idea about the eternity ring! Her husband had asked HG to make it on the sly at the same time, and it was sprung on her recently, hence why HG has only just put the pictures up as she now has the surprise ring. She was very excited about it, but is still getting used to the width & weight of 3 rings. Nice problem to have, eh?!

Ooh I’ve just seen your post Alex T...wow..training at a ‘cough’ F...bench..I didn’t know any of that!
    Lucky friends too.
I do LOVE your eternity ring, (not weird at all, and very wise by the sounds of it). I have always loved Carre-Asscher-fat Baguette-Emerald type cuts for eternities and line bracelets....my dream bracelet is a Carre/ Squarer Baguette Cut line bracelet I almost bought in La Jolla...then (wisely but regretfully, sadly) never did!
I’d also love an eternity like yours, in yellow gold, but my fingers are so short there’s hardly any room between my wedding and engagement rings to do so!

If you have any more HG jewellery photos from your friends etc please join in, Id love to see them being worn.

I’d also love a carre cut band. Absolutely stunning! You sound like you have regret over the bracelet, which is a bummer, but your time will come! I did have pictures of my friends newly set solitaire with her vintage wedding ring, but I seem to have deleted them. I think I remember having a pic & video cull when my phone said my memory was full. I shall get a picture when I see her with the full, blingy set very soon!

    @Alex T

That's such an awesome story and you're right, the inside of your eternity band is super sexy!!! I know exactly what you mean. Do you have an engraving on it? It would be a nice platform for something... :geek2:

 Oh definitely YES. I can’t wait. It’s so exciting. I'm busy saving for my project.
It’s a huge self imposed lesson in patience! As it’s taking me ‘a while’, so I’m trying not to get tooooo excited and just keep calmly saving. Once I can do it, I will tell you all about it..don’t worry! Lol :appl:

How exciting! He will definitely be worth the wait & expense. He is a genius.

@Lykame No, I have no engraving on my band. I did toy with the idea of getting the girls names & DOB engraved on one side, as my husband gave it to me the day after our 2nd daughter was born & our little family safely complete, so I will always treasure it as a ‘family ring’ if you like. I might have the engraving put on that super sexy inside where it won’t get scuffed away

I cannot wait to hear all about it! Wow! Please tag me in when you sort it out, if you remember? To tag people in, if you do the @ sign and then then name... like @Hounddog ... and I would get a notification! Oooh exciting!

That would be really nice! I would encourage it, it's special! :) And leave a little bit of that sexy inside plain as it is super awesome too. :kiss2:

Thanks Lykame, I certainly will. I’m hoping I will have her, or have at least commissioned her to be started before this year is out..fingers crossed!

:whistle:Don’t tell anyone.. lol...but after this one I have another in mind too..but saving for that one after this one will definitely put it another year or so ahead in time!
HG’s beautiful creations keep making me think... ‘ooh I’ll have one like that’...ad infinitum!!

I love the styling of this one, it’s rather unusual with an 18ct Green Gold and Platinum setting for a 3.01ct Yellow/Green Marquise Diamond. It looked fabulous on the hand of the very happy lady who wears it, unfortunately I can’t see that photo now.

My pleasure, I’m glad you're enjoying it Gussie. You have a gorgeous set of rings in your profile picture.

Thank you also Stone Hunter, sorry for not writing sooner. I’m really pleased you like them, HG makes such beautiful items and there are not many UK jewellers mentioned on here.

I have shown a similar ring to this with a Blue Topaz and a small pear shaped diamond before, but I believe this one is a gorgeous Aquamarine and this photo of it on her hand shows its scale. Enhanced with a series of tiny diamonds.

 Alex T, I think you need both arms, they’re very important to be able to put your RINGS on.. LOL!
I know exactly how you feel, I LOVE Sapphires and that is such a GORGEOUS colour. I also like the small diamond ‘sash’ detail. Another stunner from HG. :appl:
