It’s so nice to have something that fits into the under $1250 thread.
My new hauyne ring from David Klass.

I love the non-traditional organization of the stones, and of course the color! I'm inspired for some of my mismatched sizes:twisted2:

Such pretty blue! But what happened to your pinky nail?! Will you trim the others back? It drives me crazy when all of my nails are fairly long & I break one. I feel so lopsided & have to cut them all back :(2

It’s not just my pinky nail, sadly. I broke 5 of them (yes, literally half of them) during one day of travel. Every time I grabbed my luggage i was breaking another one. I was pissed! Still, I don’t trim the others. I just look lopsided for a little while.

Thank you. I was trying to find a way to use some different sizes and this just felt right. I bet it would look good with multiple colors too (like blues and greens).

It’s a really soft pink with some orange in it, looks almost neon in some moments. I love the pretty minimalistic design, it’s very modern and unlike most of my others!

So pretty and modern! Looks great on your hand.

The blue is so vivid! These tiny hauynes have so much impact. I should go put myself on the waiting list for some...

@elle_71125 Congratulations on the hauyne ring! Did you decide on how you wanted them to be arranged before or after you sent them to DKJ?

Before. I actually sent him a pic of how I wanted them laid out and in which sizes. Sometimes, I let David decide how he wants to do something and other times I want full creative control. But I am usually a control freak so... :D

I love your spinel ring, RGL! The color looks great on you and I love how the modern bezel came out. Enjoy it in good health!!

I’ll be he was thrilled to get that beautiful hauyne to work with! What a marvel of nature! You deserve extra credit for getting those babies in under $1250. :appl:

The largest one is 2.8mm, then a mix of the following sizes 2.4mm, 2.2mm, and 1.5mm.
All tiny little guys. :mrgreen2:

The video you shared is just amazing! I gotta get some. Got any loose ones lying around?

@elle_71125 gorgeous vivid blue! Gosh after seeing yours and @Seaglow rings I’m beginning to feel like I need a hauyne something...:P2
Oh, you do! You really do. :twisted2: I’m not a huge lover of straight up blue but these babies won me over big time.

Thank you, thank you. *takes a bow* :lol-2:
They are expensive for sure! I was lucky to get a bunch of small ones (which was still expensive :confused2:).

If only I did, you would totally have them. :D

They are addictive, Elle :) Your new ring is lovely!
They really are. I bought the 1.5mm ones and as soon as I saw them in person, I knew I needed to have more. :-o:love:

Thanks. The color really is so vibrant and luscious. If you ever get the chance to buy one, don’t hesitate.

When I bought these last month at the Springfield show, I told myself that I wouldn't set them for awhile. I keep telling myself that I need to slow down, learn from others here and wait for or design the perfect setting for each. But I have not patience/willpower and my tendency is to use in preloved settings or inexpensive stock settings.. wherever the stone fits (it doesn't help that I have a local inexpensive bench jeweler).

So here I go again.

Set in a new 18k stock setting, I bought from a store closeout years ago for $200.

I bought this new for the setting. It was only $100 and had an emerald green CZ. Was just waiting for the right stone to fit.

It helps having a good inexpensive bench who can make things work. But it would probably be more budget friendly to work on one custom project at a time  But truthfully, I am more comfortable wearing more budget friendly stuff and it's easier to justify the spending as long as I don't add it all up

Just sharing my two flower by Cecile Raley Designs ring. The centers are pink Arizona tourmalines and the petals were pink spinel and Merelani mint garnet. I got these set in platinum silver and the cost was between $400 and $500.
