I''m in the market for an engagement ring. Lorelei has given me some great options in the 1 carat, H, SI1 range.

I''m also considering this 0.82, F, VS2, triple excellent H&A stone http://www.adiamor.com/D-8896775.htm - any views? Unfortunately I can''t get hold of an idealscope image...

You need to give us a link to the other stone so we can compare each.

Personally, with all other things being the same (with a great cut), I would go for the bigger stone (if eye clean).

With the second stone, did you talk to someone about that stone? I was wondering how you know it was an
H&A? Did it say somewhere on the web page that I didnt see?

Hiya,

Yes, I have been emailing someone at Adiamor who said that this stone was H&A. Maybe I ought to check with her, tho, if you think it ought to be on the cert.

Links to the other stones that have been suggested are:

1st one is obviously the largest. I have requested an idealscope image from pricescope. The size does appeal (!), however, I have never seen a diamond with strong fluoro and would be worried that I''d get it back to the UK and not like it.

Please post the ideal scope images when you get them. As far as the strong flour in the 1.16 you could
have one of the gemologist evalute the stone for you and make sure it does not go milky in sunlight.
I think it is fairly rare but definilty would want to check. I just read on another thread that the usual
gemologist is on vacation (or would that be holiday
1.gif
) but they have another one in that can help but
may not be until Monday since one is on vacay.

Also, another thing you can do when you are having the 1.16 looked at is to have the gemologist compare
the 3 stones and tell you what they see.

I ran them all through the HCA and they all did 1.4 TIC with the first 2 stones both getting x,x,vg,vg and the last
stone getting x,x,x,vg. So really not much help on wedding any of them out.
