We are considering this diamond, but have a few concerns with it. It looks good to the naked eye, but the girdle is ex thin - tk (f), and it is an SI1. Many of the inclusions seem to be right near the girdle (see picture) -- does this increase the already high risk of chipping? The diamond would be set in a four prong solitaire.

Here are the specs:

GIA cushion, 2.01, G, SI1
meas 7.40 x 7.03 x 5.31
depth 75.5
table 52
girdle xth-tk (f)
culet med
polish ex
Sym good
Flor none

Is this depth cause for concern?

Also, as far as SI1s go, does this one seem to be heavily included, or similar to most SI1s?

Please share any thoughts on this stone. Would you avoid it, or do you think it's an okay bet?

Thanks!

The inclusion plot can be deceiving - especially to Amateurs.

The thing I would want an independent pro to look at is the fact that the girdle goes from extremely thin to thick. This could make for a weird set of proportions.
