Hi,

Well...I received my Idealscope yesterday ! and as I promised I''ve
attached it for review. I really would be grateful for any impartial expert comment!

Lorelei - previously you suggested I contact Dr Indira Marchant who you thought maybe able to help with the setting of stones in a ring while I''m in London.

Unfortunately she is unable to help me.

I just thought you or a fellow Pricescoper may have another recommendation?

Thanking you in anticipation you wonderful people.

Hi DeepBlue!

The Idealscope and numbers of this diamond look fabulous, well done! That is a shame that Indira didn''t have any advice, but what I will do is page Pandora, she knows of good places in London which might be able to help you, I will try and catch her in another thread so hang tight and she should answer sometime today hopefully!

As Lorelei said the idealscope looks great. You are all set as far as that diamond goes!

Hi,

I've used Richard Ogden in Burlington Arcade to do an emergency repair on my e-ring.

Long story and all my husband's fault, but they had to unset my stone, rebuild the prongs and reset. As my centre stone is a tsavorite not a diamond I am super paranoid about damage and chips. Also, unlike a diamond it would be VERY hard to find a replacement of the same quality.

They totally understood my fears - even rang me halfway through the process to let me know that they would need to reset the stone a mm lower than before and was I happy with that. When I went to pick it up, they produced a loupe for me to inspect the work.

My stone and the setting came back as perfect as they were before the 'accident'.

I would definitely give them a call and see if they can help. If they can't, they should be able to recommend a good bench to you.

Thanks for the page Lorelei

Am pleased to hear everything worked out for you in the end Pandora.

Thank you so much for the recommendation I will certainly give Richard a call.

Should everything work out I''ll post a photo to show the results!

Wishing you, Lorelei, neatfreak and all the PS''s the very best.
