I am brand spankin'' new here and looking for a little advice. I am looking for a engagement ring for my girlfriend and somehow ended up finding my way to the online retailer, BigDiamondsUSA Inc. Has anyone had experience with them before? Are the reputable?

Yes, they sell clarity enhanced. I''m looking for a cushion cut, about 2.5 carats. But I''m on a budget! Hence, the clarity enhanced. My girlfriend has expensive tastes and I''m a poor grad student. I don''t know how else to go about this...

A well cut diamond will be more beautiful than a huge rock of lesser quality. Don't be tempted to spend outside of your budget to impress your girlfriend. Spend your money on a gorgeous smaller diamond and maybe upgrade later when you have more money. There are vendors who will let you trade up and you can get 100% of the original cost of the diamond.

2nd. Look at a quality diamond within your price range rather than going for a clarity enhanced of poor quality. There is no guarantee that an enhanced diamond will hold up.
