Litigatorchick, i forgot to mention that Kaleigh has an eternity band from signed pieces that is TO DIE FOR. it''s around 3.5 tcw (i think) and she recommends the quality highly from earlier posts i''ve read.

And neatfreak has the pave domed eternity band from them and seemed very happy with the sparkle factor (hers is beautiful too!). see here: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/item.cfm?item_id=3946

Yes! Love mine. And yes I love an eternity as an ering. Actually kind of wish I had gone that way myself! I think I will be for an upgrade down the line though.

And as to the quality of Facets-my pave eternity has not lost one stone in the 1 1/2 years I have been wearing (and abusing) it. Been through the u/s maaaany times as well. Very nice quality.

great idea! do it!

I think you can definitely get a lot of bling with an eternity band, for quite a lot less than a solitaire would cost. And they look great stacked.

Are you getting engaged LC?
this was a really good point BTW maisie! A budget for a decent 3/4 carat solitaire would buy you an EXTREMELY nice eternity band, which is something i considered when buying.

I don''t have an ''engagement ring'' for 2 reasons, the solitaire type ''big ring'' just isn''t my style, and as we were never formally engaged, I would have felt silly getting an engagement ring without a formal engagement process.

I wear an antique 5 stone ring as my wedding ring, this is the only ring I wear on my left hand, it''s both gorgeous and practical.

I love this look; if I had to do it all over again I would definitely consider an eternity as my ering - I have one now that I love and I frequently wear it as a combo ering/w-band on my left hand - when traveling, etc. I do not wear my engagement ring.

Thanks everyone!!! We are definately going with the eternity. It just feels right.

It will be a great choice. Have you thought about what shape stones - channel, bezel, prong etc?

I am happy you are happy. But am surprised you feel ready so soon.

Ps. Love the new avatar.

Chiming in late here, but...I love wearing my eternity as ering, alone, sometimes because it is elegant and no one can really put a value to it, if you know what I mean. Mixes well in all socioeconomic circles. Mine is 3ctw.
